WR Marquise Goodwin, San Francisco 49ers

Reportedly has a quad injury that he tried to play through Sunday but was not successful. His good rapport with Jimmy Garoppolo from last season and this preseason had him rising up most draft boards this summer. Stay tuned to team reports on his status. He's officially listed as day-to-day.

Player most likely to benefit if absent: WR Dante Pettis

RB Leonard Fournette, Jacksonville Jaguars

Fournette has a strained hamstring and is questionable for Week 2. Though the Jags are optimistic about a quick recovery, this type of injury can linger. I own him in a couple of leagues and have already planned on sitting him this week.

Player most likely to benefit if absent: RB T.J. Yeldon

TE Greg Olsen, Carolina Panthers

For the second year in a row, Olsen has fractured his right foot. The Panthers haven't placed him on injured reserve, but you have to imagine that he'll be sidelined for 4-6 weeks at the absolute least.

Player most like to benefit during absence: RB Christian McCaffrey

WR DeSean Jackson, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Jackson posted a big box score Sunday with 146 yards and a couple of scores. However, his day was ended prematurely by a concussion. As with all concussions, Jackson is out indefinitely.

Player most likely to benefit if absent: WR Chris Godwin

WR Doug Baldwin, Seattle Seahawks

Reports show Baldwin suffered a Grade 2 of the MCL in his right knee Sunday. As such, he'll be out a while. It's is not the same knee he had a problem with in early August, so Baldwin now has two bum knees.

Player most likely to benefit if absent: WR Brandon Marshall

RB Jeremy Hill, New England Patriots; TE Delanie Walker, Tennessee Titans

Hill (torn ACL) and Walker (dislocated ankle and ligament damage) were both seriously injured in Week 1 and are now out for the season. It's sad to hear this about any player, and I hope they heal quickly.

Players most likely to see an upgrade: Hill’s absence means more touches for Patriots RBs Rex Burkhead and James White. Walker's injury opens the door for TE Jonnu Smith
