RB LeSean McCoy, Texans at Bills – “The Machine” projection: 17.6
Buffalo Bills’ LeSean McCoy is projected to be the third highest scoring running back in Week 13.
Despite a slow start to the season, LeSean McCoy has found his way. He has accumulated more than 100 total yards in each of his last five games and scored three touchdowns during that span. In Week 12, McCoy rushed 19 times for 70 yards adding three receptions for 31 yards a touchdown. Week 13 will be tough for McCoy as he’ll face the Houston Texans.
The Texans are arguably the hottest team in the AFC. They’ve made sporting news by winning four straight and their defense has forced eight turnovers during that span. They also haven’t allowed more than 86 total rushing yards since Week 7. Last week, they held Mark Ingram to just 52 total rushing yards.
RB Charcandrick West, Chiefs at Raiders – “The Machine” projection: 15.8
Kansas City Chiefs’ Charcandrick West is projected to be the sixth highest scoring running back in Week 13.
When Jamaal Charles tore his ACL, the Chiefs’ season looked doomed. Since then, the Chiefs have gone 4-1 and are currently the fifth seed in the AFC Playoff Picture. Charcandrick West and the Chiefs’ rushing attack is much to thank for their recent success.
After taking over the backfield, West rushed for 110, 97, and 69 yards, collectively. He missed Week 12 with a hamstring injury.
In his place ran Spencer Ware. In two games as the starting running back, Ware has accumulated 210 total rushing yards and three touchdowns. Expect the Chiefs to go with the hot hand. If Ware struggles, West may get a chance. That’s hard to picture, however, as the Raiders are allowing 108.3 rushing yards per game and have surrendered seven rushing touchdowns.
WR Odell Beckham Jr., Jets at Giants – “The Machine” projection: 19.4
New York Giants’ Odell Beckham Jr. is projected to be the fourth highest scoring receiver in Week 13.
Odell Beckham Jr. is currently on a tear. He is dominating the fantasy news as he has hauled more than 100 yards in his last four games and has scored five times during that span. In Week 12, Beckham caught nine passes for 142 yards and one touchdown. This against a Redskins’ defense that has given up 22 receiving touchdowns on the year.
Week 13 may be Beckham’s toughest test all season. He and the Giants will face their in town rival, New York Jets. Beckham’s bust status is solely dependent on whether or not Darrelle Revis is able to play. He sat out Week 12 with a concussion. If Revis is able to go, he may be able to do enough to keep Beckham out of the top ten fantasy receivers list. Stay tuned to ASL fantasy updates.
TE Gary Barnidge, Bengals at Browns – “The Machine” projection: 15.0
Cleveland Browns’ Gary Barnidge is projected to be the sixth highest scoring tight end in Week 13.
Gary Barnidge may be the only bright spot in the Browns offense. He currently sits with 758 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. He has a tough matchup Week 13, however, as he’ll go up against the Cincinnati Bengals.
The Bengals’ defense has been rock solid this season. They are allowing the least amount of points per game in the NFL with 17.5. They’ve also only allowed 15 receiving touchdowns on the season.
The Browns’ also announced that quarterback Josh McCown would miss the rest of the season with a broken collarbone. Barnidge is still the second best option on that team behind Travis Benjamin. It’ll be tough, however, to establish a rapport with whomever starts against the Bengals.
