The Machine rebuild continues to move forward, and this month the progress is becoming much more visible.

Right now, we are rebuilding the pages customers will see and use. The numbers shown on these pages are still dummy data. The live league connections, projections and calculations that will power The Machine will come later.

In my last update, I showed the rebuilt Rate My Team page. Since then, we have expanded into the main product, including the Home page, probability charts, My Account and the weekly Lineup Recommendations page.

The Home Page Is Back

The biggest visible change is the rebuilt Home page.

This is the screen you see when you load your league into The Machine. It brings together league standings, projected fantasy points for your roster, and The Machine's probability-based view of your season.

We have also rebuilt it in two visual styles.

Fresh Mode gives The Machine a cleaner, more modern appearance, while Classic Mode preserves the look and feel longtime customers will remember.

For now, the screens use sample data while we continue rebuilding the rest of the product.

The Machine Was Always About More Than Projections

One of the things that distinguished The Machine was the amount of information behind its recommendations.

We have now rebuilt several of the graphical probability views that help explain what the numbers actually mean.

Instead of simply telling you that your team is projected to score a certain number of points, The Machine can show the range of possible outcomes. It can also visualize season and playoff probabilities rather than reducing everything to a single projection.

These deeper analytical views were an important part of the original Machine, and they will become even more powerful when we eventually add the new mathematics planned for the next-generation version.

Now We're Working on Lineup Recommendations

One of the most important pages in the entire product is now under construction: Lineup Recommendations.

This is where The Machine will help answer the question fantasy owners face every week: Who should I start?

The page shows recommended starters, projected fantasy points and your opponent's likely lineup, so you can see the matchup in one place.

We are also rebuilding Auto-Pilot and Co-Pilot.

Auto-Pilot is designed for those moments when kickoff is approaching and you need to set lineups across multiple leagues quickly. Co-Pilot takes a more deliberate approach, stepping through your leagues one at a time so you can review and adjust each lineup before moving on.

The page is being built now. The features that make Auto-Pilot and Co-Pilot actually set lineups will come later.

The Pieces Are Starting to Connect

We have also rebuilt My Account, which connects customers, teams and ASL products.

From there, customers can see their teams and the products associated with each one, then go directly to the appropriate fantasy tool.

It isn't the most exciting page in The Machine, but it is an important part of bringing everything together into one product.

What Comes Next

The immediate goal is to finish Lineup Recommendations and then continue into other major weekly tools, including waiver and trade pages.

Once the main pages are rebuilt, the next major phase begins: connecting them to real fantasy leagues, live projections, The Machine's calculations and automation.

But The Machine is no longer just specifications, wireframes and old screenshots.

It is starting to come back to life.
