Providing tiered rankings for each position is an easy and efficient way to organize your fantasy thoughts and discover some under-the-radar moves at the TE position for fantasy purposes. Let's take a look at today's position of evaluation: TEs.

Tight ends 2023

Tier 1 - Productive and Prolific = Ideal Threat

These are some of the top TEs in all of football, and are worth having on your fantasy team. These TEs have maintained consistency for an extended period of time, and most are the cream of the crop of the position. The TEs in this tier will most often both stretch the field racking up receptions and yardage as well as accruing a solid amount of touchdowns. If you have one of these TEs as your TE1, you are most likely in good shape at the position for fantasy purposes.

Mark Andrews

Sam LaPorta

Travis Kelce

TJ Hockenson

George Kittle

Hunter Henry

David Njoku

Cole Kmet

Dalton Schultz

Jake Ferguson

Tier 2 - Prolific but not Productive = Explosive Threat

Always a threat to score a TD, these TEs won't necessarily help move the chains, but they are normally solid in the red-zone. You may want to consider them if you're looking for a TE2 for your fantasy bench.

Juwan Johnson

Logan Thomas

Tier 3 - Productive but not Prolific = Move The Chains

These TEs are known more being able to stretch the field consistently. While they may still score touchdowns, the names on this list are more known for moving the chains and acquiring tons and tons of receptions and yardage. TEs from this tier can be almost as good as those from tier one, because even though they may not be in the end-zone quite as frequently as the other guys, they often make up for it in receptions and yards after the catch.

Dallas Goedert

Evan Engram

Trey McBride

Kyle Pitts

Darren Waller (Before He Retired)

Tier 4 - Not Productive or Prolific = Rotation Tight End

Many of these guys were not too productive in their early years in the NFL. There are however, some names on the list that might surprise you, as even though these players have yet to be consistent when it comes to fantasy production, for a few of them there is still time to live up to those expectations associated with being a top tier fantasy TE. It's somewhat surprising to see a 2nd year TE like Dalton Kincaid on this list, but also not that surprising given that to date he has yet to put himself into a higher echelon.

Gerald Everett (not as much with Chicago)

Dalton Kincaid

Tyler Higbee

Tanner Hudson

Jannu Smith

Pat Freiermuth

Luke Musgrave

Chigoziem Okonkwo
