San Francisco 49ers

Gave Up: 2024 3rd Round Pick

Received: Chase Young, DE

The 49ers gave up only a third-round draft pick to get defensive end Chase Young from the Washington Commanders. The 49ers will line him up opposite Nick Bosa for a devastating one-two combo. This move is meant to be a moral boost for a team that has lost it's last three games.

Philadelphia Eagles

Gave Up: 2024 5th and 6th Round Picks and Terrell Edmunds, Saf

Received: Kevin Byard, Saf

Howie Roseman has mastered the art of trades to address holes in the Eagles' roster. This season, the Eagles are 7-1, the best record in the league. Despite this fact, Howie Roseman dealt multiple Day 3 draft picks and an underused safety in Terrell Edmunds to acquire Kevin Byard from Tennessee. Byard is a two-time All-Pro safety. This move upgrades the Eagles one weakness: a weak pass defense. In another notable move, the Eagles signed veteran receiver Julio Jones two weeks ago.

Kansas City Chiefs

Gave Up: 2025 seventh round pick

Received: Mecole Hardman, WR

After being chronically under-utilized after signing a short term contract with the Jets. Mecole Hardman was traded back to Kansas City. A scheme, coach and QB he already has established chemistry with. The Chiefs have been struggling on the perimeter this season, lacking true playmaking ability from receivers.

Seattle Seahawks

Gave Up: 2024 2nd and a 2025 5th round pick

Received: Leonard Williams, DE

The Seahawks beefed up their defensive front. Williams production was being clouded by the bad team situation he was in with the Giants. Williams remains a monster to deal with as a pass rusher/run stuffer who can wreck havoc from the inside or outside spot along the defensive line.

Atlanta Falcon

Gave Up: 6th Round Pick 2024

Received: Kentavius Street, DE

Grady Jarrett sadly tore his ACL against the Tennessee Titans, which was season ending. Jarrett was a superstar up front. Kentavius Street has quite big shoes to fill. One of the many contributors on the stacked Eagles’ defensive line, Street saw his playing time decrease due to the sheer amount of talent upfront in Philadelphia. Street will have all the room he needs to be a difference maker on a surprisingly effective and frisky Atlanta Falcons defense.

Minnesota Vikings

Gave Up: 2024 6th Round Pick

Received: Josh Dobbs, QB

The Vikings lost starting QB Kirk Cousins for the season to a lower leg injury. They have responded quickly by trading for quarterback Josh Dobbs from Arizona. Dobbs is not a big-name player but has experience as a starter in this league. The Vikings are doing all they can to prevent the season from collapsing in on itself.

Jacksonville Jaguars

Gave Up: 2024 6th Round Pick

Received: Ezra Cleveland, G

The Vikings traded Ezra Cleveland, a notable guard in the league, to Jacksonville for just a sixth-round pick. The priority for the Jaguars has to be the protection of Trevor Lawrence

Chicago Bears

Gave Up: 2024 2nd Round Pick

Received: Montez Sweat, DE

The Commanders defensive lineman Montez Sweat was traded for a second-rounder. Sweat is meant to save an underperforming defensive front for the Chicago Bears. Sweat has 6.5 sacks this season, which is more than half of the Bears have total.

Detroit Lions

Gave Up: 2024 6th Round Pick

Received: Donovan Peoples-Jones, WR

Peoples-Jones has been a notable receiver ever since he broke out as an occasional weapon with the Browns. A terrible 2023 that has seen him be targeted only 18 times through seven games led to the Browns to trade the wide out. This may be a blessing in disguise. The Lions offense is high-powered, star-studded and Jared Goff is a true veteran QB.

Loser

Ron Rivera, Head Coach of the Washington Commanders: Trading away key pieces of his stellar assembled defensive line, Montez Sweat and Chase Young might just be a death sentence for this era of the Commanders.
