I hope your teams faired better than mine in Week 4. I went 1-2 again.

My dynasty team is now 1-3. I have had a heck of a match up schedule, playing against the top scoring teams twice, the 3rd highest scoring team once, but scoring the top score once to get the W. My team as a whole has done great, and fortunately it is a "victory point" team where we get points based, not only on wins, but also how our team ranks each week, so my team is in 6th place, which is fine with me. Hopefully the matchups get a bit easier through the remainder of the season.

My other two teams are 4-0 and 0-4. I get Cooper Kupp back in my 0-4 team, and I figure if I can somehow pound out a 7-3 record for the rest of the season, I can scratch my way into the playoffs. I have made the playoffs in that league the last five years, (winning it two years ago) and I don't want that streak to end.

My dynasty league has 24-player rosters which makes finding streamers on the waiver wire challenging. I show at least one available player in that league in my streamer suggestions below. Players available in my dynasty league have an asterisks before them to indicate they might be available in deeper leagues. My other leagues have 18-player rosters.

If you are playing with 12-player rosters, there are probably much better options out there for you, so this article likely won't apply to you. But there isn't much out there for the deeper-roster leagues, so I thought I would give it my best for your benefit. So here goes...

QB

  • Sam Howell, Wsh (16.34) - Howell bounced back from a poor Week 3 showing. Up against a poor Bears defense (30th against QBs) in Week 5.
  • *Joshua Dobbs, Ari (15.71) - Dobbs's stats become more impressive each week. Should be good to go against the Bengals in Week 5.
  • *Zach Wilson, NYJ (14.31) - Wilson surprised in Week 4. Up against the worst defense against QBs, the Broncos, in Week 5.

RB

  • Jaleel McLaughlin, Den (2.59) - This diminutive RB rookie has been getting more work each week since the beginning of the season. If Javonte Williams (hip) misses more time, and if Denver gets up early over the Jets in Week 5, look for McLaughlin to continue to get fantasy relevant work.
  • Samaje Perine, Den (8.78) - Seems to be getting outpaced by McLaughlin. I think the fantasy projections haven't caught up with the reality, so I would definitely take McLaughlin ahead of Perine.
  • Tyjae Spears, Ten (6.26) - This rookie had his best performance in Week 4. Look for more to come against an average Colts D in Week 5.
  • *Hunter Luepke, Dal (1.2) - This rookie has touches two weeks in a row now. If you are this desperate for a streamer, you are probably better trading for an RB.

WR

  • Curtis Samuel, Wsh (9.34) - Watch his injury status, especially with the short week for the Commanders. However, if he plays, watch for Howell to look his way more often.
  • Kendrick Bourne, NE (8.85) - Been getting a consistent sprinkling of targets every week. Up against a below average D against the pass, the Saints, in Week 5.
  • Braxton Berrios, Mia (7.27) - Cracraft is out at least until Week 8. Look for Berrios to keep getting some volume. Up against an average Giants D against the pass in Week 5.
  • Nick Westbrook-Ikhine (6.49), Ten - NWI wasn't targeted in Week 3 but had a uptick in Week 4 because Treylon Burks was out. Watch Burks's injury status before streaming him in Week 5.
  • Brandon Johnson, Den (3.54) - Look for Russell Wilson to spread the ball round against a tough NYJ D in Week 5.
  • *KaVontae Turpin, Dal (1.18) - Been getting lightly targeted most of the season so far. Look for that to continue in Week 5 against a weak 49ers D against the pass in Week 5.

TE

  • *Logan Thomas, Wsh (8.44) - Not a Travis Kelce, but has been consistent every week he has been healthy.
  • *Jonnu Smith, Atl (5.45) - Led the team in receptions in Week 4. However, he is up against the #1 Texans D against TEs in Week 5.

K

  • Nick Folk, Ten (8.1)
  • Brandon McManus, Jax (7.9)
  • Eddy Pineiro, Car (7.8)
  • Ka'imi Fairbain, Hou (7.6)
  • Matt Prater, Ari (7.4)

DST

  • Indianapolis Colts (7.29)
  • Detroit Lions (7.09)
  • Tennessee Titans (6.81)
  • Houston Texans (6.29)
