Quarterbacks…
- Matthew Stafford, Lions @ Eagles … Vegas is expecting a shoot out with the third highest total of the week (48.5) and Philadelphia’s corners can be picked on
- Josh Allen, Bills v. Bengals … Offers a solid floor with legs and Cinncianti can’t seem to stop anyone so far this season
- Case Keenum, Redskins v. Chicago … They can’t run the ball and could provide value in garbage time. The advantage here is you get a Keenum for week 4 in what could be an ugly match-up against the Giants
Running Backs…
- Carlos Hyde, Texans @ Chargers … San Diego was gashed in Week 1 by Marlon Mack and Hyde could be in line for some goal line work and positive game script
- Jaylen Samuels, Steelers @ 49ers … Even with James Conner expected to play Samuels has upside due to his versatility
- Raheem Mostert, 49ers v Steelers … Has been the healthiest back so far in San Francisco
- Frank Gore, Bills v. Bengals … Not a sexy play but he’s the lead back (for now still)
Wide Receivers…
- Demarcus Robinson and Mecole Hardman, Chiefs v. Ravens … Patrick Mahomes is unstoppable
- Terry McLaurin, Redskins v. Bears … The rookie wide receiver is the de facto #1 in Washington and has been able to get open down field
- Devin Smith, Cowboys v. Dolphins … Start everyone v. Miami
- DK Metcalf, Seahawks v Saints … Russell Wilson is targeting Metcalf down the field and New Orleans has been giving up 18.5 yards per catch
Tight Ends…
- Jason Witten, Cowboys v. Dolphins … The Dolphins have given up 16 catches on 17 targets so far his season and Dak Prescott will be without emerging WR Michael Gallup for a few weeks
- Gerald Everett, Rams @ Browns … in a thin position group opportunity is everything and with TE Tyler Higbee most likely out with a lung injury Everett has a chance to catch a touchdown in Cleveland
Defense…
- Packers v. Broncos
- Titans @ Jaguars
- Falcons @ Colts
Kickers… Keep an eye on the weather as forecasters are calling for some rain on the west coast
- Joey Slye, Panthers @ Cardinals … Slye has hit three 50-yarders in two games
- Zane Gonzalez, Cardinals v. Panthers … Gonzalez is 7 for 7 on the season
- Josh Lambo, Jaguars v. Titans … It’s just a hunch but I feel like about 50% of Thursday Night Football games are defensive battles decided by a 50 yard field goal or two
