Another week of football in the books and another great week of DFS plays provided by me. Let us take a quick look at my Week 5 recommendations.

QB- Joe Flacco- 30.5, Joe Burrow- 37.8

RB- Kyren Williams- 19.5, Josh Jacobs- 16.4, Chase Brown- 16.4

WR- Brian Thomas Jr- 26.2, Michael Pittman Jr.- 14.7, Josh Downs- 15.9, Jordan Whittington- 15.9

TE- Colby Parkinson- 12.2, George Kittle- 20.4

D/ST- Commanders- 13, Broncos- 16

Before we start on Week 6, I’ll share my best scoring GPP lineup.

QB- Joe Burrow- 37.8

RB- Josh Jacobs- 16.4

RB- Chuba Hubbard- 18.5

WR- Ja’Marr Chase- 44.3

WR- Brian Thomas Jr- 26.2

WR- Tutu Atwell- 12.5

TE- Eric All Jr- 3

FLEX- Kenneth Walker- 14.6

D/ST- Texans- 2

This was a free roll in a gigantic contest so it did not cash even though I scored 175.28 points, but this was a well-constructed lineup. The Burrow-Chase stack panned out well, I did not use Tee Higgins because I like Brian Thomas Jr. more. Josh Jacobs was a great leverage play against a popular Packers passing attack.

Chuba Hubbard was good leverage against Diontae Johnson chalk. Tutu Atwell was my correlation with Josh Jacobs and leverage against a popular Jordan Whittington. Kenneth Walker barely got there in a reverse game script and Eric All Jr. just wasn’t a good play. Missed on a few pieces but I’m happy with the process of the lineup.

Let’s stay hot for Week 6!

Week 6 DraftKings slate

Games to target:
1. WAS @ BAL – 52.5 O/U
Implied totals: WAS 23; BAL 29.5
2. ARI @ GB – 49.5 O/U
Implied totals: ARI 22.25; GB 27.25
3. DET @ DAL – 52.5 O/U
Implied totals: DET 27.75; DAL 24.75
4. TB @ NO – 42 O/U
Implied totals: TB- 22.25; NO- 19.75

Top Cash Plays:

Quarterbacks

Lamar Jackson ($7,800)

Jackson went nuclear in Week 5, throwing for 348 yards, 4 TDs and rushing for 55 yards. Even though the Commanders defense has played well lately, there’s a gigantic gap between Deshaun Watson and Lamar Jackson. Jackson also makes for a great GPP play.

Jayden Daniels ($7,300)

Daniels is dominating box scores and that should continue in Week 6. Daniels has 23 or more passing attempts in every game this season as well as having double-digit rushing attempts in 4 out of 5 games. The Ravens have allowed the 4th most fantasy points to opposing QBs which should match well with the Commanders leading the NFL in EPA/play and EPA per drop back.

Jordan Love ($6,600)

Even though Love had a down week last week, he does have 6 TDs over his past two games. The Cardinals defense capitalized on a some key turnovers by the 49ers in Week 5 however, they are allowing the 6th highest drop back EPA, 7th in EPA/play allowed, and #1 in drop back success rate allowed (57.4%).

Running Back

Chuba Hubbard ($6,300)

Hubbard has three straight games with 97+ rushing yards which coincides with his three consecutive games of 18+ fantasy points. Hubbard has also contributed in the passing game with 18 targets over his past four games. Furthering Hubbard’s cause this week is the Falcons defense, which ranks 3rd in rushing success rate allowed (47.7%).

Jahmyr Gibbs ($7,000)

The last time we saw the Lions, Gibbs stole 2 red zone TDs from teammate David Montgomery. Gibbs has maintained 5+ YPC and accumulated 75+ rushing yards in his last three games. For Week 6, Gibbs faces a Cowboys defense that is allowing the 4th highest rushing success rate (46.2%) and #1 in rushing EPA allowed.

Other options: Josh Jacobs ($6,700), James Conner ($6,800), Bijan Robinson ($6,600), Tony Pollard ($6,000). Week 6 feels like a 3 RB lineup week in cash.

Wide Receiver

Drake London ($6,700)

It finally seems like London and QB Kirk Cousins are on the same page. London has 25 targets over his previous two games and exploded for 154 yards and 1 TD in Week 5. London draws a fantastic matchup in Week 6 against the Panthers, who have allowed the 3rd highest EPA/drop back and are allowing 26.7 fantasy PPG to outside WRs.

Ceedee Lamb ($8,600)

Things haven’t been great for Big D so far, including the Cowboys horrible run game that has the 2nd fewest rushing yards and 2nd lowest YPC (3.5) in the NFL. All this means is that Lamb should get peppered with targets. Lamb’s opponent in Week 6, the Lions, are allowing the 6th highest passing success rate in the NFL at 47.4%.

Amon-Ra St. Brown ($6,200)

St. Brown has 3 straight games of 20+ fantasy points and a dome shootout against the Cowboys should extend that streak to 4. Currently, St. Brown has a 70% WOPR along with a strong 31% target share, which should equate to a lot of fantasy points in your lineup for Week 6.

Other options:  Josh Downs ($5,500) only if Joe Flacco starts, Chris Godwin ($6,900).

Tight End

Pat Freiermuth ($4,300)

Freiermuth has 10 targets over his past two games and is the only reliable pass-catcher in the Steelers offense. In Week 6 he gets to face a Broncos defense that was torched by Brock Bowers in Week 5 to the tune of 8/97/1. With stud CB Patrick Surtain locking up George Pickens, Freiermuth should be free to wreak havoc.

D/ST

Houston Texans ($3,600)

The Texans rank 7th in defensive pressure rate meaning rookie QB Drake Maye is in for a rude awakening in his 1st career start. The Patriots are #1 in defensive pressure rate allowed, sitting at a 31.9%.

Philadelphia Eagles ($3,400)

Deshaun Watson is awful (on and off the field) and the Eagles defense should be able to take advantage. Watson is feeling pressure at a 31.2% rate and is #1 in pressures (69) and sacks (26).

Favorite stacks:
1. Jordan Love + Jayden Reed and/or Tucker Kraft/Dontayvion Wicks with James Conner/Trey McBride bring back.
2. Lamar Jackson + Zay Flowers and/or Isaiah Likely with Brian Robinson Jr/Terry McLaurin/Dyami Brown bring back.
3. Kirk Cousins + Drake London and/or Bijan Robinson/Kyle Pitts with Chuba Hubbard bring back.

I will be using a lot of onslaught stacks this week including RBs.

Now more powerful than ever: The Machine - DFS Lineup Optimizer

GPP Plays:

Quarterbacks

Dak Prescott ($6,700)

As I mentioned earlier, the Cowboys offense runs through Prescott’s arm. I expect this game to be up-tempo meaning Prescott will be passing early and often. Prescott has thrown 2 TDs in three consecutive games.

Kyler Murray ($6,800)

An early look shows that QB rostership should be even however, Murray provides more upside than others. Murray has 2 games of 25+ fantasy points. He faces a Packers defense in Week 6 that’s middle-of-the-pack in pressuring QBs and tied for the 6th most passing TDs allowed.

Other options: Justin Fields ($5,800) C.J. Stroud ($7,000), my cash game recommendations.

Running Back

I like my cash RBs for GPPs this week.

Wide Receivers

Chris Godwin ($6,900)

With WR Mike Evans and CB Marshon Lattimore engaging in fisticuffs, Godwin will have free roam through the Saints secondary. Godwin has 5 or more target in every game this season.

Jameson Williams ($5,800)

We’ve seen Williams have explosive games and a track meet with Dallas is a great spot. With everyone focusing on the porous Dallas run defense, Williams should be under-rostered and an excellent choice for GPPs.

Other options: Marvin Harrison Jr. ($7,200), Amari Cooper ($6,000), Terry McLaurin ($6,400)

I also like my cash options for GPPs this week.

Tight Ends

TE Kyle Pitts ($4,400)

I dislike putting Pitts here, however his matchup this week is elite. Add in a chalky Bijan Robinson and Drake London and you have the perfect leverage spot for Pitts. Carolina is tied for the 5th most fantasy points allowed to the TE position.

TE Cade Otton ($3,500)

Otton is a cheap play who has earned 21 targets over his last three games and plays the Saints, who are allowing the 11th most fantasy points to TEs.

Other options: Sam LaPorta ($5,500)- LaPorta hasn’t been his dominant self and yet, he’s had the bye week to rest up and get healthy. LaPorta is also a great leverage option vs a popular Lions rushing attack and popular Amon-Ra St. Brown.

D/ST

Detroit Lions ($2,800)

The Lions are 11th in pressure rate (25.8%) and are fresh off the bye. The Cowboys on the other hand, just finished a street fight with the Steelers on Sunday Night Football. With the Cowboys on a “short week” and Dak tied for the 2nd-most hurries in the league, the Lions defense has the upper hand.

Lone Ranger (sub $5,000 player that can score over 10 fantasy points)

Whittington was a PPR stud in Week 5, putting up 15.9 fantasy points. Zaccheus on the other hand, struggled mightily and gave way to explosive teammate Dyami Brown.

WR Ladd McConkey ($4,900)
With the Broncos tenacious pass-rush breathing down QB Justin Herbert’s neck, McConkey will be the safety valve much like when he scored 17.7 fantasy points against the Chiefs.
