Week 4 was a wonderful week for me, as I had some strong recommendations and finally hit some pay dirt in DFS. Let us take a quick look at my Week 4 recommendations.

QB- Jayden Daniels- 25, Justin Fields- 35.98
RB- James Conner- 21.3, Chuba Hubbard- 25.1, Alvin Kamara- 24.9, Zack Moss- 17.8
WR- Nico Collins- 36.1, Diontae Johnson- 21.3, Rashid Shaheed- 17.7, Brian Thomas Jr.- 21.9, Ladd McConkey- 17.7
TE- Pat Freiermuth- 16.7,
D/ST- Bears- 8, Vikings- 8

Before we start on Week 5, I’ll share my best scoring GPP lineup.
QB- Justin Fields- 34.98
RB- Aaron Jones- 15.9
RB- Roschon Johnson- 8.6
WR- Ja’Marr Chase- 16
WR- Nico Collins- 30.1
WR- Darnell Mooney- 7.1
TE- Pat Freiermuth- 14.2
FLEX- Zack Moss- 15.8

D/ST- Jets- 3

I finished 94th out of 1,176 entrants, good enough to triple my money. Fields and Freiermuth were leverage against a popular Najee Harris and it worked like a charm. Nico Collins was a jam against a terrible Jaguars defense. Mooney flopped against the Saints and Roschon Johnson was undercut by D’Andre Swift. Ja’Marr Chase should’ve had a bigger day and Zack Moss was wally-pipped by Chase Brown. In hindsight, I should not have played both Ja’Marr Chase and Zack Moss in the same lineup or if I wanted to play both, I should’ve used Chuba Hubbard as a bring back.

Let’s stay hot for Week 5!

Top Cash Plays:

Quarterbacks

Joe Flacco ($6,500)

With Anthony Richardson and Johnathan Taylor injured (not out officially yet), Flacco should take the helm of an offense loaded with talent and brains (Shane Steichen). Flacco put up 15 points last week and that was in limited action against a tough Pittsburgh defense. In Week 5, the Colts draw the Jaguars, who have allowed the most fantasy points to the QB position.

Brock Purdy ($6,200)

This one may be a bit shocking however, Purdy has thrown for 250+ yards in 3 out of 4 games this season. Purdy was sloppy last week and gets a chance to sharpen up against a Cardinals defense that was blowout by Jayden Daniels and company.

Joe Burrow ($6,400)

Burrow has scored 17 or more fantasy points in his last 3 games. Coincidentally, Burrow has had 30+ passing attempts in those games and thrown 7 TDs as well. The Ravens have allowed the 4th most passing yards this season.

Running Back

Josh Jacobs ($6,400)

I’m aware of Emmanuel Wilson getting touches in the Packers backfield, but Jacobs has been productive. He currently sits 10th in RYOE and 7th in rushing attempts. Conveniently, Jacobs plays the Rams, who’ve allowed the most rushing yards this season.

Jordan Mason ($7,400)

Mason has gone over 100 yards rushing in 3 out of 4 games this season and now he gets to face a defense that just allowed the Commanders to run for 216 yards. Kyle Shanahan dreams of matchups like this, Mason could go for over 150 yards in Week 5.

Other options: Kenneth Walker ($6,700)

Wide Receiver

Michael Pittman Jr. ($6,000)

This play is dependent on the status of Anthony Richardson. If Richardson is out, fire up Pittman with Flacco at the helm. If Richardson plays, avoid this recommendation. Pittman is tied for 7th in target share at 30%.

Brian Thomas Jr. ($5,900)

Thomas has back-to-back games of 9 targets and with the leaky Jaguars defense that trend should continue. The Jaguars currently rank 7th in pass rate at 59.6%, meaning the good times for Thomas should continue.

Amari Cooper ($6,200)

Cooper has had no less than 8 targets in every game this season. He also has a WOPR of 68% along with a solid 25% target share. With the Browns failing to run the ball, Cooper should continue to get strong volume with the 3rd highest pass rate of the league.

Other options:  D.K. Metcalf ($7,000), Malik Nabers ($7,300) Nabers is questionable with a concussion but has yet to practice as of Thursday. Nico Collins ($7,700).

Tight End

Erick All Jr. ($2,700)
All has three consecutive games with 4 receptions on 4 targets. Again, punting TE is optimal and with All already having a solid floor, his salary is enticing.

Colby Parkinson ($3,700)

Parkinson has 12 targets over his last two games and with no Cooper Kupp or Puka gain in Week 5, opportunity looms. Parkinson also sits tied for 14th in target share among TEs. Tight end is atrocious this week

D/ST

Denver Broncos ($2,900)
The Broncos have consecutive games of scoring double-digit fantasy points thanks to a league-high blitz rate of 44.1% and ranking 7th in pressure rate at 23.2%.

Favorite stacks:

1. Trevor Lawrence + Brian Thomas Jr. with Michael Pittman or Josh Downs bring back. If you want to reduce your roster percentage, Adonai Mitchell is the player for you. Using Travis Etienne or Tank Bigsby is a great way to be unique for this game as well.
2. Brock Purdy + Deebo Samuel with Marvin Harrison Jr./Greg Dortch bring back. James Conner is also a viable bring back. There are many ways to get creative with this game.
3. Jordan Love + Jayden Reed + Romeo Doubs/Dontayvion Wicks with Kyren Williams bring back. I also like onslaught stacks for this game i.e.- Jordan Love + Jayden Reed + Josh Jacobs
4. Malik Nabers with DK Metcalf and/or Kenneth Walker bring back. I like using pieces from this game instead of using a typical QB-WR stack.

GPP Plays:

Quarterbacks

Jordan Love ($6,500)

Even though Love isn’t adding any rushing with his knee injury, he can pile up the passing yards. Last week’s tilt against the Vikings wasn’t normal but the Rams defense is giving it up via the air and ground. The Rams have allowed the 14th most passing yards this season and are #1 in net yards per attempt allowed. Love also makes for a great GPP play as he is direct leverage against a chalky Josh Jacobs.

Josh Allen ($7,700)

Allen gets a price reduction after an inferior performance on the road vs the Ravens defense (who were due for positive regression). The Bills offense always goes through Allen and if the Texans push the tempo, Allen will have to activate hero mode.

Running Back

Kyren Williams ($7,600)

Williams has been a workhorse for the Rams offense with Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua out. In fact, Williams has 6 targets and 43 carries over his last two games. Kyren is a strong option in both cash and GPPs.

Chase Brown ($5,600)

The Bengals have been one of the better fantasy friendly offenses so far. With Brown getting more playing time, there’s more opportunity for him to break a big play. He also scored 2 redzone TDs last week making his upside even bigger.

Wide Receivers

Tyreek Hill ($7,500)

I get it, the Miami offense has been a dumpster fire lately however, Miami did show signs of life on Monday Night Football. Tyler Huntley missed Hill deep twice against the Titans, perhaps with another week of reps and timing, it all comes together in Week 5. The Patriot's defense is nothing to fear outside of stud CB Christian Gonzalez and can he really keep up with Hill constantly in motion? Also, Hill hasn’t been this cheap on a regular season DFS slate since 2022.

Deebo Samuel ($6,800)

Is CMC out? -> If yes, start Deebo. If no, start Deebo anyways because he is an explosive playmaker on a quality offense. The Deebo algorithm remains undefeated. Even though Deebo only had 5 targets in his return from injury in Week 4, he had 19 total targets his first two weeks of play. Deebo makes for a great leverage play against a chalky Jordan Mason.

Other options: Christian Kirk ($5,700) Kirk has 22 targets over his past two games.

Wan’Dale Robinson ($5,600) fun fact, Robinson is tied for the 3rd most red zone targets (7) among WRs.

I also like my cash options for GPPs this week.

Tight Ends

TE George Kittle ($5,600)

Did you see Kittle’s TD catch last week? Kittle is an athletic freak and always viable in GPPs. Also, Kittle is a great game theory play against the pay-down-at-TE strategy.

TE Dalton Schultz ($4,100)

Schultz has consecutive outings with 5 targets and gets a matchup against the Bills, who are allowing the 9th most fantasy points to TEs.

D/ST

Washington Commanders ($3,000)

Browns QB Deshaun Watson still stinks, and the Browns are allowing pressure at the 2nd highest rate this season. If the Commanders offense continues to thrive, the Browns will be playing from behind, leaving plenty of opportunities for turnovers.

Lone Ranger (sub $5,000 player that can score over 10 fantasy points)

Mooney missed the 10-point threshold by 1.9 points, brutal. Ladd McConkey was a fantastic play as he smashed for 17.7 points. Time to get after Week 5.

WR Jordan Whittington ($4,600), Olamide Zaccheus ($3,600).

Whittington is in the Cooper Kupp role and since Kupp will be out again in Week 5, Whittington is strong play.
We’ve seen Zaccheus succeed before and with him running more than 50% of his routes from the slot and an astounding 57% targets per route run, Zaccheus makes sense here.
