Hello hockey fans, as we head into the weekend here is a look at some players who are hot and who are not.  We have 14 games on Thursday night, followed by 1 game Friday, and then 20 games on Saturday and Sunday so let's look at who to put into your lineup and which guys to stay away from.

Let's look at the following players as must plays this weekend. These players have started the season hot and should continue to post good numbers.  As mentioned in NHL Fantasy: 2021 - A Different Year the goal light continues to be lit up night after night and the Canadian Division posts the top 4 scores so lets start there.

Connor McDavid, Mitchell Marner, Leon Draisaitl and Nikolaj Ehlers are all at the top of the scoring race and all come from the North Division.  The North Division is producing high scores so keep this in mind when picking players for your daily fantasy leagues.

Other players that are riding a hot streak are Anze Kopitar, Brad Marchand, Mark Stone and Nathan MacKinnon.  All these players should be a building block for your teams. These players comes a high price tag so getting more than two on your daily team is a challenge.

Forwards that are still looking for their sticks and you should stay away from are Mika Zibanejad, Evgeni Malkin, Jean-Gabriel Pageau, Jason Zucker and Nazem Kadri.  These players are mid-level and would normally be good value most nights but they are not finding their strides yet.  Keep an eye on these players, as they are streaky. If they get hot their value will rise and you can get in at a low daily cost.

Here are a few players to watch on the Blue Line Jeff Petry, Shea Theodore and John Carlson.  These players are off to hot starts but the price tag is on the high end for daily plays.  With that said adding one to your lineup should be considered.  Here is a look at some bigger names on the blueline not preforming.  Alex Pietrangelo, Torey Krug, Eric Karlsson and Matt Dumba.  All are off to slow starts but you keep an eye on them as they will find some magic at some point.

Goalies on the rise are Philipp Grubauer, Jordan Binnington and Anton Khudobin and then goalies still looking for their blockers are Thomas Greiss, Devan Dubnyk and Jonas Johansson.

Enjoy the games.
