Hot Fantasy Updates

Jordan Reed- TE- Washington- After being targeted at least eight times in the previous three weeks, Reed received nine targets, catching every single one. Reed also put up a season-high 120 yards while also catching a touchdown pass. Reed made a difference in Washington’s 24-21 win over the Bears and has seen his value rise steadily as QB Kirk Cousins has involved him more heavily in the offense. Reed has a tough matchup next week vs. the Bills, but look for him to still receive targets.

Russell Wilson- QB- Seattle- Amid rumors about a potential engagement, the Seahawks QB put in a career day, making sporting news by throwing five touchdowns for the second time in three games. Wilson completed 23 of 32 passes for 292 yards, finding receiver Doug Baldwin three times and Tyler Lockett twice for touchdown passes. The Seahawks offense has found its groove with Wilson at the helm, and he should be a top-tier option the rest of the way.

Golden Tate- WR- Detroit- Tate caught nine of ten passes for 60 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Tate also tacked on a 15-yard rush in his fourth straight game with at least seven catches. Tate has become a PPR stud even if he has not topped 80 yards in a game this season. He should have a good matchup vs. the Saints next week.

Isaiah Crowell- RB- Cleveland- After regaining the lead back role for the Browns last week, Crowell made fantasy news by breaking out in a big way against a 49ers defense that has struggled to contain opposing rushing attacks. Crowell ran for 145 rushing yards on 20 attempts and scored two touchdowns, his first scores since Week 5. He also caught his only target for nine receiving yards. Crowell’s upside is limited in a typically anemic Browns offense, especially next week against the notorious Seahawks defense.

Allen Robinson- WR- Jacksonville- After a phenomenal three touchdown performance last week, Robinson had an abysmal game against the Colts. QB Blake Bortles completed 16 passes and threw for three touchdowns, but Robinson’s only appearance in the box score came with one four-yard touchdown pass. Apart from that, Robinson did nothing else. It was Robinson’s first game with fewer than 50 receiving yards this season. This performance was likely just an anomaly and Robinson should bounce back down the stretch.

Charcandrick West- RB- Kansas City- West put up 54 yards, but only accumulated 10 carries and did not score a touchdown. West has lost opportunities as he has become stuck in a timeshare with Spencer Ware. Even against the Ravens next week, West’s upside is likely capped so long as he does not have a full grip on the starting job.

DeMarco Murray- RB- Philadelphia- The Eagles may have beaten the Bills on Sunday, but Murray continues to lose. Murray totaled only 37 yards (34 rushing and 3 receiving) Sunday, with just 11 carries. The total actually marked Murray’s best yardage total in the last three weeks, as he has lost snaps to Darren Sproles. Next week’s matchup vs. the Cardinals should limit Murray’s upside.

Calvin Johnson- WR- Detroit- Johnson’s season has been one of extremes, with this week featuring an extremely weak performance. Megatron only hauled in one pass for 16 yards on only five targets. QB Matthew Stafford has given an increasing number of targets to Golden Tate, and it can be argued that as of late, Megatron has become the #2 option for the Lions passing game. Even with some favorable matchups late in the season, owners may need him to score a touchdown to put up WR1 value.
